PRESIDENT Jakaya Kikwete has called on telecommunications operators in Tanzania to work together in building the National Fibre Optic currently in its final stages. President Kikwete made the call yesterday when he held talks with executives from telecommunication companies -- Tigo, Zantel and Zain -- at the State House in Dar es Salaam. Fibre-optic communication is a method of transmitting information from one place to another by sending pulses of light through an optical fibre.
